Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to professional engagements for ESG factor comparisons, board-ready briefs, and mandate screening notes. This site does not sell physical products, software subscriptions, or event tickets.

Eligibility

Refunds are assessed against the written fee quote and the stage of work completed. Informational rate pages are not invoices; only accepted quotes create payment obligations.

Cancellation before work starts

If you cancel in writing before we begin the evidence pass, we refund any deposit or advance fee in full within fourteen days of receiving the cancellation notice.

Cancellation after work starts

Once the evidence pass has begun:

• Within the first 30% of the agreed timeline — we may offer a partial refund of unused fees after deducting time already spent at our quoted day rate equivalent, documented in writing.
• After substantial drafting has begun — fees for work completed are non-refundable; unused prepaid amounts for undelivered stages may be refunded.
• After final pack delivery — no refund, except where we agree the deliverable materially failed to match the accepted scope.

Non-refundable items

• Time already spent reading filings and drafting after kickoff
• Third-party document retrieval costs expressly approved by you in advance
• Briefing slots you miss without at least forty-eight hours’ notice (no-show); a reschedule may be offered at our discretion for an additional fee

Rescheduling

Briefing calls may be rescheduled once without charge if you give at least forty-eight hours’ notice. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee reflecting analyst time held.

Deposits

Where a deposit is required to reserve capacity ahead of a fixed decision date, the deposit is credited to the final invoice. Deposits become non-refundable once the evidence pass starts, except as stated under partial refunds above.

Refund process and timing

Email contact@apisignalstack.digital with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five working days. Approved refunds are processed within fourteen days to the original payment method where possible.

Work already started and materials

Drafts and research notes prepared before cancellation remain our intellectual property. We are not obliged to deliver partial packs on cancelled engagements unless fees for that stage are paid and delivery is agreed in writing.

Exceptions

Statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law remain unaffected. If an engagement is impossible to complete due to our inability to staff the work, we will refund prepaid unused fees in full.
