Method

How Apisignal Stack builds an ESG factor comparison for listed companies — from peer set lock to briefing.

Our method is deliberately ordinary: agree the companies, agree the factors, read the disclosures, write the differences, brief the people who decide.

Peer set lock

You name the listed companies. We challenge sets that mix incompatible sectors without a clear reason, then freeze the list so the comparison stays fair.

Factor agreement

Environmental, social, and governance factors are chosen for materiality to the sector and to your house requirements. We resist bloated checklists that bury the decision.

Evidence pass

We read annual reports, sustainability reports, AGM notices, and selected regulatory filings. Where a company is silent on a material factor, that silence becomes part of the finding.

Factor tables and narrative

Side-by-side tables show divergence; short narratives explain why a difference matters for capital allocation, stewardship dialogue, or exclusion debates.

Briefing

The analyst who wrote the pack walks you through remaining uncertainties. You leave with language suitable for committee minutes — not a black-box score.

What we refuse to do

We will not reverse-engineer a desired ranking. We will not present modelled estimates as company disclosure. We will not compare listed companies to private peers without stating the evidence gap.

When to choose which engagement

Bring your peer set

If you already know the companies and the meeting date, we can tell you quickly whether the timeline is realistic.
